Amazon.com Review Drinks stay hot or cold for up to seven hours in this insulated, double-walled, stainless-steel travel mug from OXO. Plus, three silicone seals in the lid opening prevent leaks and drips from spoiling clothes on the way to work. One hand is all that's needed to operate this mug: a button in the middle of the lid opens the drinking seal (a red background alerts the user to its open position); and then closes the device. Letting a few seconds lapse before closing will allow liquid in the spout area to drain back inside, thus preventing drips. The sleek, brushed-finish, stainless-steel body of the mug fits any standard car cup holder. OXO's signature soft, non-slip material rings the mug neck, allowing for a secure grip when drinking or unscrewing the contoured lid. The mug holds 14 ounces--room for a double-tall latte with extra foam. A marked `max' line inside prevents over-filling. Preheating or pre-chilling the mug is recommended for increased insulation value. For best results, wash the mug by hand after each use. OXO backs all its products with a satisfaction warranty, and will replace or refund any returned item. --Ann Bieri

Great mug - Poor cleanability (hope this helps) July 30, 2010 J. Bickmore (San Jose, CA United States) I really love these mugs for their ability to retain the heat. Didn't like the fact that the sip got smaller and smaller within a couple of weeks. After soaking the top overnight I noticed some small globs of old coffee in the bowl. At this point I had to take it apart. After tinkering with it for awhile,I broke the first one. Since I had two of them I took a more deliberate approach.
Actually there are 2 things that you can do to aid in cleaning these cups. The first, is to remove the cap on the clicker thus revealing a screw that allows the sealing plunger to be removed. Don't be too surprised at the sludge that you will see inside the lid. The amount of goop that collects is really amazing. After cleaning as much as I could from here, I noticed a tab near the top of the drink path. This tab stops even the smallest brush from passing through the channel. I was able to remove this with a small screwdriver then smooth the area with an exacto knife. Now the entire drink path can be cleaned. I am using a brush that was made for cleaning baby bottles. Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Cleaning Brush, 4 Pack available here on Amazon for $4.49.
The cup now stays clean just by rinsing. An added plus is after removing the tab, you can now get good amount of coffee to come out, instead of the tiny sip that the tab restriction was allowing.
Look Elsewhere! July 29, 2010 Moosetooth (Palmer, AK United States) I bought and used 3 of these in the space of a year. Great at keeping drinks hot, leak proof, nice size. Eventually the cap would gum up to a point where it was no longer leakproof. Looking around for a replacement here at Amazon I discovered a reviewer who revealed the trick to getting the sealed top unit open, ostensibly to clean it and thusly restore the click button mechanism. Holy Cow! Looked and smelled like something from a Dean Koontz novel in there! I'm surprised that such an unhygenic product can be marketed. Unless you enjoy bleu cheese with your beverage, buy something else!
Oxo LiquiSeal Travel Mug July 1, 2010 Ben Great cup, perfect to throw in the backpack or saddlebags for a motorcycle ride -- it doesn't leak. I haven't taken the lid apart yet, but I'm sure it's the same as the other reviews, it probably gets pretty nasty in there. I run hot water through it as much as possible.
But I have one BIG tip...Go to the local Bed Bath and Beyond and pick it up for $19.99 -- and save the $3/$4 in shipping.
Oxo Good Grips LiquiSeal Travel Mug June 29, 2010 Mardi (Illinois, USA) I normally do not write reviews, but in this case I'm making an exception because I love them. I can't remember when I've been so pleased with a product. They keep my ice water cold and my hot tea hot. Thanks to these mugs I've almost completely given up soda. I started off using them for work, but now I also use them at home, in the car, while gardening, and walking or hiking. The clicker to keep them open or closed is great! I've already bought six, and plan to buy more for Christmas gifts.
Doesn't leak June 29, 2010 K.C. (Long Island,NY) Good size. Doesn't leak. No handle. Can't get the last bit of drink out of cup. When washing, you have to shake the top to get water out of it. This cup is OK. There is probably better one's out there.
