Product Description
Ok, Cubs fans, what should you try first, Ryan Theriot's favorite jambalaya or Lou Piniella's chicken salad? Maybe you have a sweet tooth and want to make the Ricketts' own family sugar cookies? How about some Hall of Fame chicken tacos from Ryne Sandberg or ginger pork, courtesy of Japanese outfielder Kosuke Fukudome? They're all here in this one of a kind cookbook, with dozens of other recipes from current and former Cubs players, coaches, broadcasters as well as signature recipes from some of Chicago's leading restaurants.

Proceeds from the book benefit the Dempster Family Foundation which provides support to charities and organizations that help children with DiGeorge Syndrome and other illnesses through monetary grants, programs and increased community awareness.

5 out of 5 stars Great book, Great cause   August 24, 2010

Great book, great recipes, and a great cause. Dempster, on behalf of Cubs fans, we wish your daughter Riley the best!!!

5 out of 5 stars Although there are probably better books, this one is simple, funa and for a good cause   August 16, 2010

This is one of those cookbooks that has many recipe's but some of them good and some of them bad. For instance, Ted Lilly's recipe is called egg in the hole...basically just cut a hole in a piece of bread and put an egg in there and cook it. Definitely not gourmet quality. But its all in fun. There are some interesting and good recipes from some of the players and even restaurant quality recipes from places like Harry Carey's Bar and Grill. The main reason to buy this is for a gift for some big Cubs fans and to support a great cause. The proceeds go to a pitcher named Ryan Dempster for his daughters disease. It is 22q and they are raising as much money as possible to help not only their daughter but anyone else affected by this disease.
