5 out of 5 stars Mini Chop Chrome   July 20, 2010

Chopper is a great replacement for one that finally quit after almost 9 years. As long as you don't overload it, it's a fantastic food prep product.

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely love it   July 6, 2010

I read several reviews on Cuisinart and other brands of small food processors, and figured I would go with this one (old food processor melted in the dishwasher and didn't chop very well),

1. Uses minimal about of pushes of either button to get food chopped up (about 3-4, if you cut food up into about 2 inch chunks)--however I pulsed a whole boiled egg with no problem

2. Super easy to clean! The housing unit does not get food on it when you are using it

3. Looks nice, has a good weight to it (not cheap feeling)

I have chopped eggs, onion, celery, tomatoes, garlic all with no problem. You get well blended, small bits for easy cooking. I have no complaints and would definately suggest to anyone.

Busy cooker
I wanted a food processor that does not takes so much space on my counter top. I bought this Cuisinart Food Processor, it works fine for small portions, you need to process your food several times. Since it is a small cup, do not put liquid on it or just a few amount because it will get spilled out. If you chop or grind for too long you will smell something funny, like burning rubber inside the machine. Each time you take the cup off the appliance, you will see some spilled water on the base of the appliance, I had to clean it every time I take the cup off. If your purpose is to buy a small appliance with limited function, this is a good choice. If you want to do major job, maybe you will need a better processor.

1 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY THIS!!!   June 15, 2010

I bought this to replace my "Little Oscar" which, sadly, is no longer available. I was sure that Cuisinart would make an excellent product. I was SO wrong! Upon opening, I was disappointed with the thin, shoddy plastic that was used to make this machine. Even the "brushed chrome" finish, is plastic--no chrome there!!! Then I tried making tuna salad, the thing I make most frequently in the little machine. It was a disaster. The tuna didn't break up, the mayo didn't mix in, and I had to empty and reload it 2-3 times to get an adequate salad mix. Then I tried chopping ONE onion. I had to pick out the big chunks and empty the small chunks at least 3 times before my onion was chopped. I supposed I could return it, but packing and shipping is expensive and bothersome, and what else would I get? This review requires me to give a star-rating. This product deserves NO STARS, but that is not an option.

5 out of 5 stars love this little gadget!   June 15, 2010

I got this chopper for making sauces and purees, and it works great. It's also a great chopper, just be sure chop in short spurts and don't hold the button down for very long at a time because it chops quick and will easily puree. It works great for both thick and thin purees, and is super easy to use and clean. I like that the blade has a little peg that sticks up so you can hold the blade in while pouring, or pop it out without having to stick your fingers into the mixture. It does a good job of mixing the contents while chopping, but the little spatula it comes with works perfect if you need to move things around. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this product.
