5 out of 5 stars Great appliance!   July 26, 2010
Paige Henderson (Grapevine, TX, US)
I just received this as a gift, and there is definitely a learning curve to it. I have never used a pressure cooker before, so I was starting from scratch. After some trial and error, I figured it out and cooked my first roast. It was perfect. The gravy was full of flavor, and the meat very tender. I am a busy mom and sometimes throw meals together at the last minute, so this will come in handy. I definitely recommend it.

The product arrived much quicker than I had expected. Excellent well-made product. I use it regularly. It is easy to use and comes with simple instructions.

5 out of 5 stars Love, love, love this PC...   July 13, 2010

I bought my Cuisinart Pressure Cooker about two weeks ago, and I am in love. I have cooked pot roast and spaghetti sauce in it, and both were beyond fabulous. This item is easy as pie to use and clean. No fear here at all. And, the manual is fine. If you can't understand what this manual is saying, you probably should not use a pressure cooker at all. I also had no problem finding all of my parts when I opened the box, so I am not sure why one of the other reviewers complained about this. I will be using this for a long time to come!

1 out of 5 stars It's a piece of junk   July 3, 2010

When I bought this from Amazon, I didn't use it right away. My husband used it once or twice and it seemed to work okay. Then when I tried to use it, it wouldn't work right. It would get up to temp and pressure but instead of going into it's timed cycle, it went straight to keep warm. We tried repeatedly. Same reults. When I tried to return it to Amazon, it had been more than 3 months and they would not take it back. My husband contacted Cuisinart and they sent out a new valve. That didn't fix it. Then they sent a whole new lid. That didn't fix it. Then they sent a whole new unit (although it appeared to have possibly been used and returned). It worked a couple times then the same problem as before. They sent a third whole new unit. My husband spent a day making multiple batches of bean soup. It worked fine. A week later when I tried it, again it went straight to keep warm instead of cooking. We are done with this unit. I will never buy another Cuisinart electronic product. My sister bought a Cook's Essentials electric pressure cooker from QVC and has had no problems with it. So I am going to QVC to see if I can find it. The Cuisinart product is going in the trash.

I have never used any pressure cooker before this one so have nothing to compare. I don't think I will need to, this is fabulous. I love the brown and saute features on it, I love how easy and fast it is to get dinner made, and its amazingly easy to clean. It's compact and stores quite nicely. My aunt has bought one due to the results of my cooking with this pressure cooker and my raving about how much I love mine!
