VERY NICE SLOW COOKER July 25, 2010 Peter Potamus (Tunnel HIll, GA) This Cuisinart cooker replaces thirty year old Polk-a-long of similar size.
The programable feature is quite a nice improvement as well as the removable pot. Can't find anything lacking with this cooker and the price was very reasonable for this very well made, easy to use and attractive unit. We love it!
Cuisinart PSC-350 3-1/2 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker July 22, 2010 Lazy Cook
Perfect size Slow Cooker for two of as. Great Quality , easy to use and clean .
nice variable heat slow cooker July 22, 2010 Barbara Rockwell I have had this for a couple of months now and I like it very much. There are only 2 of us so I wanted the smallest slow cooker I could find. It is smaller than most but not as small as I had hoped. But the settings are wonderful-the best I have ever seen. Simmer, warm, low, etc. The manual tells you exactly what temperature each is, and for some reason I haven't figured out, it even browns things. The cookbook that came with it expanded my uses considerably-I can make many things I used to make on the stove top-caramelized onions, fruit crisps, etc. It goes automatically to warm after the amount of time you set expires. You can also set it to run indefinitely. The glazed ceramic bowl cleans very easily. Very modestly priced too.
Cuisinart has no Rival July 14, 2010 Michael R. Smith (New London, North Carolina United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
That's right. I got sick of that big 5.5 qt. Rival Crock Pot. Took up far more than its share of counter space, sitting there like some fat toad. Sure, that silly Rival was pre-programmed with over 200 recipes. Trouble is, nobody wants any of them. What I needed was a Cuisinart 3.5 qt. slow cooker. It's slim, attractive, uncomplicated, perfect for two-to-four people -- and has no Rival!
quality control??? July 11, 2010 Saluki (Pa. USA) I was very excited to get and use this slow cooker. I looked at others but, they only stayed on a few hours after switching to keep warm. The Cuisinart stays on for 8 hours before shutting off. It has all the features I like and works very well.
I was however, disappointed to discover pinholes in the glazing of the bottom of the crock. The crock is not covered by the warranty and it would cost over thirty dollars for replacement. I'm not even sure whether it's safe for me to use like this. Had I bought in in a Bricks and Mortar store I would have been able to inspect the crock before buying.....I don't know if this is a problem in general with the crocks or a fluke.....
If it weren't for this flaw I would have considered it a perfect purchase and great for this scorching hot weather rather than heating up the house with the oven.
