I love pinapple, but I hate cutting it up. I was concerned that a peeler would leave alot of pinapple left on the rind. This thing works like a champ. There's a knack to it, but once you get it down it works great. The only thing is, sometimes it's difficult to pull the fruit sliced from the rind because of the suction. But otherwise, if you choose your pinapple right there us minumal waste and the juice is saved. No more waste than the old fashion filet and chop method I used to use.

This product is amazingly easy to use and perfect for any size job. Sliced pineapple for breakfast, a fruity party drink, or a large fruit platter. It is a useful addition to any kitchen. It's a practical gift too.

I purchased this a few months ago and it's really been great, no problems whatsoever...not to mention it's pretty cool!
A few weeks later I drop-shipped one to my aunt and just happened to be there last weekend. I found out this company only sells the product with 'one' slicer, just the medium size, not the other two 'small' and 'large' (three total). Don't just look at price, make sure you pick the company that sells all three slicers or you'll be leaving a lot of pineapple in the husk.
I gave this three stars instead of five because I feel it was pretty sneaky to pull this off, but then again I didn't read the whole description, just ordered by the same price I originally paid.
(Oh, a little trick I read somewhere, cut a small slice of the bottom of the pineapple before you start slicing and there will be zero vacuum when you pull the pineapple rings out!)

This Vacu Vin pineapple slicer is simply one of the best inventions!!! It is quick and easy. I wish I had known about this little gadget long ago. It trims the pineapple out of the shell with absolutely no waste and none of that hard core in your fruit. If you like to eat fresh pineapple - you must have this slicer!!
